WHO WE ARE

The Great Neck Gesher Fund (the “Gesher Fund”) was established by a group of concerned members of the Great Neck Synagogue, Young Israel of Great Neck and Congregation Shaare Zion of Great Neck in response to the economic devastation left in wake of the Covid 19 pandemic. The primary goal of the Gesher Fund is to provide interim financial support to our community members in this time of unprecedented need.

HOW IT WORKS

Personal Loans:

The Gesher Fund will make interest-free loans to individuals or families who are members of the Great Neck Synagogue, Young Israel of Great Neck or Congregation Shaare Zion of Great Neck. The loans are intended to alleviate Borrowers’ immediate financial constraints and serve as a bridge to financial security. The goal is to help Borrowers become self-supporting, and ultimately be in a position to begin repaying the loans.

Business Loans:

The Gesher Fund will make interest-free loans to established businesses that are wholly or majority owned by members of the Great Neck Synagogue, Young Israel of Great Neck or Congregation Shaare Zion of Great Neck . These loans are intended to provide liquidity and working capital to businesses that were profitable and sustainable before the current crisis. This category of loans is meant to keep our community members’ businesses afloat as they return to profitability and rise to a position where they can repay the loans.
